Summer Art Series: Sand Reliefs (All Ages)

About The Workshop:

This workshop is as fun & simple as it sounds & is geared towards families & people of all ages. The workshop will take place outside under our event tent. Non alcoholic refreshments & snacks will be served.

With  the help of your instructor attendees will create a series of 2D art  pieces that use sand and glue as the primary elements in their  compositions.  Simple resist techniques will be explored building to a  final, more complex piece involving acrylic paint and natural elements  like shells and grasses. Everyone will leave with 3 different works of  art!

About The Instructor:

Brad Nord attained his degree in animation from the School of Visual  Arts in NY with a minor in illustration as well as a degree in Art Education from the University of Iowa . He has worked production for  shows airing on Cartoon Network (The Venture Brothers) as well  as PBS/HBO (Pinky Dinky Doo) & Disney (Lizzy McGuire). Brad also has a background in toy & action figure design. Brad has also spent the last ten years as a middle school art teacher. Arrowheads Estate is very excited to welcome this highly talented artist to their grounds!
